No Recreational Use of Internet on Campus
Internet access is, first and foremost, a learning resource for the school community. It should be available for teachers to access online content in their classes, for staff to access Internet resources in the performance of their duties and for school-related student access.
Many of the latest online games and web sites have much more multimedia content such as media streaming and (in the case of games) allow players to play each other online. While this is a great advance in online gaming and the general Internet experience, both also very aggressively use available Internet bandwidth.
Please do not play any online games or access YouTube or any other site that is not directly related to your course work. Since most of us have broadband Internet access at home, please restrict all recreational use of the Internet to home computer networks. Thank you for your cooperation. |
